Idaho River Journeys runs trips on the Main and Middle Fork of the Salmon rivers. These are six day rafting vacations. Our Rogue river company, Rogue River Journeys, will be offering two – four day long rafting trips including lodge trips on Oregon’s most famous river, the Rogue.
[box]The Middle Fork of the Salmon runs through Idaho’s Frank Church Wilderness which is the second largest wilderness in the lower 48. Along the Middle Fork there are natural hotsprings, spectacular hiking opportunities, world class fly fishing, and fun, exciting rapids. You’ll travel 99.8 miles over the six days and you’ll enter some of Idaho’s deepest, most remote and beautiful canyons. Due to permits and a desire to keep trips small, space is extremely limited. To learn more about the Middle Fork, check out our page here.
[box]The Main Salmon is one of the favorites among guides and guests. Big, sandy beaches, warm water, fun rapids split with mellow pools to swim in, amount to a terrific family vacation. In terms of river history, the Main Salmon is only rivaled by the Mississippi. Spend the afternoon checking out old mining claims, abandoned orchards, or enjoying the afternoon at Buckskin Bills. [box]The Rogue River is the best multi-day river in Oregon, period. It offers it all: Wonderful camping, tons of wildlife, exhilarating whitewater, and finally, as an option, spend your last night in a spectacular and secluded riverside lodge. We also offer excellent theme trips: Pints at Paradise, Wine Trips, Ladies only Rafting, Go “Light” Outdoors, and Kayak Instruction trips.
