With big waves and dramatic drops, the Upper Kern River is the ultimate one-day river trip in California. An Upper Kern whitewater rafting trip features numerous, exhilarating Class III-IV rapids. We often run the best sections more than once making for a fabulous day of exciting whitewater. Mid-day we break for a sumptuous, deli-style lunch. In 2008 we expect to run the Upper Kern from April through early July. New this season, are Lickity Split trips.

The Upper Kern is an ideal trip for corporate groups looking for a fun employee activity close to the Los Angeles region. By working with other outfitters, we can accommodate large groups of up to 150 guests.
This season, we are offering Lickety Split Class II and III runs on the Upper Kern. This affordable and famous trip is a quick way of sampling the terrific whitewater on the Kern River. There are no limits to the number of guests we can accommodate on this stretch of river and our minimum age is five. It is the perfect run for families with youngsters eager to get wet on a hot summer day. The cost is only $35 plus visitor fee.
When water conditions are perfect and a group with prior experience wants to run the biggest rapids, they can book our THUNDER RUN. This Class IV-V section is famous for some of the biggest drops in California. The Thunder Run is not for first timers or youngsters.
