Our 2017 schedule is now open to book. For our most popular trips, reservations can be made online, or call 1-760-376-3370.

Our opening day is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2017. 

We anticipate running the Upper Kern from opening day through the end of June. The Lower Kern from mid-June through August. The Forks of the Kern we have selected three trip launch dates of May 11, 16 and 21. We will add more dates as these sell out.

As our snowpack grows we will expand our trip offerings and season. Keep in mind that our trip capacity is extremely limited, so if you’re looking at a weekend or popular date please get in touch with us to start building out a reservation, as these dates often sell out months in advance.

Matt is the owner and operator of Kern River Outfitters. He has been guiding for nearly 20 years and has logged over 20,000 river miles. When he is not on the Kern, you will find him guiding for his older brother, Will, in Southern Oregon, or his younger brother, Skip, on the Middle Fork of the Salmon in Idaho.
